The Auckland Museum, housed in what is considered to be one of New Zealand’s most important heritage buildings, is considered to be one of the great museums of the Southern Hemisphere. It is famous for its Maori collections, unique of their kind, and its treasures from the Pacific region. It is also a war memorial for Auckland Province.
