...from our origins in the Theatre
It is not a coincidence that the origins of Lightemotion are in the theatre. No other domain requires such artistic sensibility and diversity of talent. For over 10 formative years in the early evolution of the firm, Lightemotion’s designers learned from and were inspired by theatrical, dance and musical performance environments. They have undertaken work with accomplished artistic and performance enterprises such as: PPS Dance, Michel Lemieux, Victor Pilon, Chants Libre, to name a few.

From our origins in the performance arts, we have extended our creative reach to the realm of museums, galleries, exhibits, thematic environments and leisure attractions. We transpose the skills obtained in lighting a dynamic and ever changing performance environment to the more static but complex dimensions of an exhibit or object. The object of the work of art craves visual attention. To be seen, to be observed, and to be appreciated in all possible aspects, depends on how it is displayed… and lit. This sensitivity to the human experience now positions Lightemotion as part of the collaborative creative force behind themed attractions, immersive environments and dynamic exhibits and displays.
